Tomorrow.

Tomorrow we are filming the tea party scene at Long road.
We are filming with all our charcters and after reading Christinas blog i get the impression, we will be having the charcters moving fast around me and me at normal speed. We have discussed this before and i still think its a really good idea :)
Hopefully the weather wont be horrible like it was on wednesday, and im really looking forward to filming :)

Today.

Today i had to go and preform in hannnahs music video.
As soon as they put up some footage i will upload it to show what i done today. :)

Set Up.

Wednesday :)

We done our filming today :)
It took us all a while to get into it..but after a while i think it started to go really well and i loved the atmosphere as everyone was getting on really well :)
I went to get changed with Ali, Yasmin and Hannah, whilst the others collected the tri-pod and camera etc.. :)
It was the Band Preformance we shot, and we had all the characters on set, but unfortunalty it rained so we had to stop filming and only got to do the band preformance and the cutaway of max. But Most characters really made themselves usefull and were a huge help...and didnt complain about the rain!
We initially had a problem with the lighting..as the extension lead was so short, but luckily near but was an almost tree?bush sort of layout, which ended up being amazing as it was almost like a little archway made out of trees :)
We then hung all the lights in the trees and me and yas thought it would be cool to hang cards in the trees which ended up looking really effective and making the set, we also had smaller props like tea cups, and drink me bottles which worked well.

We done about 3 takes and then it started to rain! so we had to wrap up and run inside, we didnt want to damage the camera.
I think the footage went reasonably well and i think on friday at the tea party scene there will be more of a positive atmosphere which will make my individul preformance better.

In the Morning....

Before College im going to go into town and buy some last minute things for the Band Preformance scene.
I need to buy a Apron for the Alice Costume.
I might go into a cheapy shop and see if i can buy "drink me bottles"
Im going to buy string as i thought we could hang Playing Cards through the trees. :)

If i see anything else i think could work i will pick that up also :)

Today

Today i had to help hannah do her dance..i was teaching Tilly the dance which Tilly, Yasmin and myself will preform in Hannnahs video.
Unfortunatly the video wouldnt embedd at home so i just typed the link to the practice video of the dance, which unfortunatly tilly isnt in.

This weeks plan.

Today me and Rob had to come up with a timetable for this week so we can get organised. :)

Tomorrow: After College we are going to shoot our Band Preformance scene, so we need all our characters and the instrumetal props, and also fairy lights.

Thursday: On thursday I have to go to the Junction to shoot Hannahs Music video, and dance. ( see post) so i will be there all day but me and rob thought himself and Christina could do some digi pack pictures.

Friday: Friday morning we are going to do the tea party scene with all props and characters.


Hopefully the weather will turn out alright for the week so we dont have any problems.

Weather.

This is the Weather forcast for next week.
Im slightly worried im not going to lie...
as our video is outside...and in the open, it is going to be a problem if it constantly rains.
Its something we are going to have to discuss as a group, and perhaps work around if it comes to it.

Digi Pack.

im having such a problem with my digi pack.

basically my Laptop at home has broken...so i was planning to use my step dads laptop to do my digipack idea....but his has now broken also...

ive now got our really old computer....which wont let me upload any of my images ive taken.

so tonight im going to draft out on paper a drawing of my digi pack...take a picture of it at college and put it on my blog. :)

Book of Shadows.

So basically i was reading Fabulous magazine and came across this Alice in Wonderland inspired make up set by Urban Decay. I thought the colours really fitted in well with our project and the setting was what we would love to have for our video. :)

Half Term.

So basically during half term we are suposed to be doing our digipacks for our music video. But my computer has broke at home...plus i dont have photoshop.
I thought i could go out and take some pictures for my digipack.

I think the images i want wont have people in them mainly just objects
eg. Drink me Bottle..Teacup...woodland area etc :)

Im in Kent at the moment and im going to take some pictures here of the woodland area as its pretty cool :)

This is our test footage.

I look disgusting....but its fine.

We done 4 different shots...3 inside and 1 outside.

Obviously in the real thing they are all going to be outside.

I think the best shot was the outside one...as it gave the natural light effect :)

And the Colours of the leaves look really cool :)

Today.

Today we are suposed to be doing test footage but im not sure if its going to happen...as its freezing! and Christina isnt here yet..

so i might be going to help Hannahs group as me and a few others have to do a Dance Routine in her Video...so we need to practice. :)

Costumes.

We took some pictures on Tuesday of the Costumes were going to use. 

They are really quite bad...so ive only decided to put up this one..ill take some new pictures at home :)

Im going to take some new pictures for the Alice in Wonderlanf , and Queen of Hearts outfits :)

This Morning...

......I had a look at the costumes with christina...and we were discussing extra things we could add to them etc.. 

I then done some research on Alice In Wonderland Quotes...to put onto the outfit Yas is going to wear, :)

We couldnt really do much as Rob was with another group helping them...so i just done some research :)

Tea party,Costumes, and Props.

These are the sort of costumes for the Playing Cards, that Yas is making...obviously they wont be exactly like this ,..but the same sort of concept. 

These are some ideas for Props..like the Drink me sign..tea cups etc..

This is an example i found of an Alice In Wonderland styled Tea Party i found that someone had created.

Tuesday 9th :)

Today we plan to do some test footage for our Band scene, in our location at the art block. 

I also spoke to Yas and Hannah and they brought in thir costumes we need for the 'characters' in our video.

I spoke to Christina last night and we thought it would be good to get some pictures of them and put them on our blogs and into our storyboard, :) 

So far Yas has made for us a skirt made out of playing cards which looks really cool.. :)

Hannahs bringing her Queen of Hearts outfit...and maybe the Alice In Wonderland outfit,.im not sure yet.

Yas also got hold of a Top Hat and Waistcoat for the Mad Hatter costume. :) 

Power Sucess.

Yesterday we spoke to Dan, about getting power for our lights in the setting we want by the art block. :)

He said this wouldnt be a problem and that we just have to let him know what day we are planning to shoot. :)

This is good because otherwise we would of had to go with an alternative idea. :D

Costume ideas. :)

This is the sort of outfit we want rob to wear. I think it needs to have a bit of a quirky edge to fit in with the girls outfits.

This is what i need to wear, and ali also. Ive got a grey Highwaisted skirt and blue blouse which im planing to wear. Ill take a picture of this in the week :)

Animatic

Our Animatic isnt amazing...the pictures arnt focused as someone didnt check the settings on the camera.

This is a picture of our shot list, there are 20 shots overall.
We tried to make sure we used a varity of shot types and not just stick to the average Mid Shot etc..
The shot list includes what time of day/night the shots are fimed, whos in the shots, whether the shots exterior or interior and the camera/shot type eg, Mid shot.

This is the storyboard our group made for shadows from 1:20- 1;50
This is where the song gets a bit more upbeat so we wanted to include more of the teaparty scene and more of the Characters, rather than just the band.

We hope to get power for our lights from the art block however we do have an alternitive location as Charna has kindly let us use her house/garden/shed to film as it backs on to a similar clearing to this. :)

Costume Ideas.

These are some of the costume ideas we have for the characters in the background of our video.

This is the sort of fairy costume we would have , but we will probably just have someone in fairy wings and a skirt and vest etc.

This is the sort of Alice In Wonderland Costume we would like. I might have acces to one so thats a bonus!

This is the sort of costume we would like for the mad hatter, Top Hat and a waistcoat. Easy Enough to find.



And this is what we would LOVE for our bunny outfit, but somethings telling me that not going to happen, so we will probably just have bunny ears and a bunny tail etc..

Make up ideas.

Our group havnt really disgussed makeup and costume so i decided to experiment. I look gross.

These are some disgusting pictures i took of make up ideas.

I used harly anything apart from the statement eyes.

The glitter fits in with the light concept and i think the bold blue would really stand out and produce effect.

The rest i just kept simple really.

Timeline lesson.

This is me and rob doing the timeline task.
This was quite difficult as the song we have is broken into a lot of sections.
However we done it and i think we now know the song better than before.

Au Revoir Simone Digipack.

These are some images i took of the web that i found of Au Revoir Simone.

I think these sorts of images would be really good for the DigiPack we have to make.

The Photography in it self is good, but when i looked more closely at the pictures they all have a element of light in them which we plan to incorporate into our video.

I think they look really effective and would love our images for the digipack to turn out something like this.

Project Evaluation.

What are you most excited about on this Project.
Im most excited about working with a new bunch of people.
I think it will be intresting to see on the ideas we come up with together as a group.

What are you most Worried about.
I am most worried about the fact that we may not be able to get power for the lights we want in our video, as this is one of the main concepts holding our idea together.

How will you overcome this concern.
We have to speak to someone in the art department at Long Road to see if they will let us hook up an extension lead for our lights.
However if this isnt alowed we came up with the idea of using candles insted of lights.

Photogarphy Task.

On friday we were asked to go and take some pictures that could help represent our idea or image for our video.

Unfortunatly it was freezing outside, which is where most of our shots needed to be taken, plus we didnt really have the right setting, so we decided to go against going outside for as little as possible.

However we did manage to get these images of ......a tree.

The only other shots we could really have were of our setup for our video.

This picture represents the setup we want.

Rob (left) represents the Bass Player.

Me (middle) represents Lead Singer.

Ali (Left) represents keyboard player.

Shot List.

We had to look at 3 music videos, one from Hurtwood House, One Profesional and One Student Video.
They all had to be of the same genre of music as our chosen song.
We had to count the shots in each video and compare them.

Hurtwood House.
Sweet Disposition - 33 cuts in one minute.

Profesional.
Sad Song- Au Revoir Simone -17 cuts in first minute.

Student Video.
Where you go- 11 cuts in first minute.

We noticed that the student video had less shots than the other two , so maybe thats a challenge that we could try and get over, by giving a larger variety of shots.

This video actually links to the video we are planning to make for Shadows.

Im guessing all of the props were brought with their budget.

If we were to make this video we would obviously go about it in the way were planning to for our video.

Therefore we plan to use the back of long road as its away from any traffic, roads etc.

We are also planning to use lights like them, and we could easily just use old christmas lights etc, and get power from the art block nearby.

We can use our own clothes, and just use natural light.

More Ideas.

For the intro to our song it takes a bit of time to get to the lyrics so my idea was to have on of the characters leading the camera into the forest. For example a character popping out from behind a tree and doing a 'come here' motion with his/her finger so this will intice the viewer. This will then lead the camera into the main location where the band will be. 

Ideas i had for the costumes of the characters where fairy tale themed; for example Queen Of hearts,Alice in woderland, Rabbits, Mad Hatter etc... 

This is an example of one of the costumes we will use. 

Shadows.

This image was a Big inspiration to our idea, and this is how we would like our setting to look but instead of the furniture we would have our band and instruments, Keyboard, guitar etc.. and our lead singer. I really like the lights hanging in the tree and we would like to put this concept into our video if we can find power for the lights. I love the dreamy atmosphere and the peaceful atmosphere will compliment our song choice. 

Alice- Jan Svankmajer.

This is an abstract look at the film Alice in Wonderland. The story line is a lot more disturbing than the original and has a completely different feel to it.

But in the video i like the animation side to it and it makes you watch more.

Smirnoff advert-Inspiration.

This advert really appealed to me as the characters in the background relate to our idea, but on a bigger scale.

The fairytale, and woodland concept to our video also relates to the advert.

This is what i had in mind for the characters in our video but on a smaller scale.

But what my moodboard consisted of was pictures of a regualar teenagers life.
